Richard A. Riemer
Richard Riemer is a shareholder and one of the founders of Erstad & Riemer, P.A. He has concentrated his practice in workers’ compensation law since 1980.
Born in Albert Lea, Minnesota, Mr. Riemer was admitted to the Minnesota Bar in 1976 and
the Federal Courts in 1983. He practiced with the State of Minnesota as a compensation
attorney and defended the State in workers’ compensation cases until 1981. At that time, he
went into private practice with the firm of Chadwick, Johnson & Condon, P.A., where he
focused on compensation defense work until the formation of Erstad & Riemer, P.A. in 1990.
Mr. Riemer has spoken at continuing legal education seminars regarding workers’ compensation
topics. He also acts as a Hearing Examiner to the Prairie Island Indian Community.
Richard enjoys spending time with his family at their lake home in Central Wisconsin. He is
following in his father’s footsteps by tinkering in carpentry and cabinet making. Richard also
enjoys hunting with his dog, which surprisingly is a poodle.
